It’s quite baffling the emphasis that we humans put on certain dates of our existence..
Such occasions present themselves to us and they fool us, if we’re not paying attention..
We think a new year comes with new things and new developments, otherwise they wouldn’t call it new.
But it doesn’t. It’s just one page in a book that is constantly being written of our lives.

You’re still the same person as that one of 2019..
minus the millions of cells that died and those who are being built anew..
And that we take for granted, the internal nonstop process of evaluation and rebuilding..

I guess you can see where I’m getting at..
The new years would only be new and you would start afresh if you take it upon yourselves to sit down and work harder or smarter or with more compassion towards what you strive for..
Simply relying on fate and waiting whatever 2020 brings to you is.. not very effective.

So sit down and examine the darkness that you have within..
Don’t be frightened by it..
Look closer..
Note the little morsels of your inner being and work with those..
Pull them together and do something with what you find..

Maybe what your heart needs is a new road that you always longed to tread..
It could be another heart that is worth being vulnerable to..
More pauses and more unplugging of the whirlwind of life?
Or is it a pursuit towards human qualities that you’ve always envied others for having?

Whatever you find. Sit down and do a plan. Read books about it. Meditate or Pray. Try it out. And don’t be afraid or fumbling or failing, for it is only then that we get a grasp of who we are and what we are made for.
